Egyptian Ship Repair & Building Company Celebrates the Departure of Tugboat “Fahmy” and arrival to Damietta Port Authority.

The ceremony was attended by Rear Admiral Tarek Adli, Chairman of the Damietta Port Authority; Rear Admiral Yasser El- Sherif , General Manager of Marine Industries & Services Organization (MIASO); upon their arrival , they were welcomed by Rear Admiral Khaled Khalil Konsowa , Acting Chairman of Egyptian Ship Repair & Building Company
. The tugboat “Fahmy” is the first of a four tugboats being built for the Damietta Port Authority. The tug has been delivered six months ahead of the contractual delivery date, “ December 2026 “,that reflecting the Company’s capabilities and efficiency in shipbuilding sector.
Before the tugboat departure, the guests visited tugboat and expressed their appreciation for the tug readiness for operational service.
tugboat is rated at 70 tonnes Bollard Pull , tractor type , has been designed and built to perform harbor towage, escort, mooring assistance, ship-handling, and firefighting operations, in full compliance with the latest international marine standards, for enhancing operational efficiency , strengthening maritime safety and port services at Damietta Port.
