Pollution Control Boats (Skimmer 5 and Skimmer 6) has been delivered successfully to Alexandria port authority .
On September 4, 2024, the Pollution Control Boats Skimmer 5 and Skimmer 6 were delivered. These boats were constructed in the workshops of the Egyptian Ship Repair and Building Company for the benefit of the Alexandria Port Authority and under the supervision of the Italian classification society, RINA.
The boats were built with the following specifications:
– Overall length: 16 meters
– Overall width: 5.25 meters
– Draft: 1.47 meters
– Maximum speed: 12 knots
– Engines: 2 Scania heavy-duty
– Engines, model DI13070M, with a power output of 400 hp each.
